ABOUT

There’s something eclectic, sophisticated, and even a little challenging about drawing realistic portraits that keeps pulling me back in. The process is labor-intensive, sometimes exhausting, but I’m obsessed with it—I can’t seem to let it go, no matter how demanding it gets. What does that say about me? Honestly, I’m still figuring that out. In this recent body of work, I’ve been turning to the people closest to me—my friends, my family, and the mess of my own emotional desires—as inspiration, trying to capture that complexity on paper. As I continue this journey, I strive to remain open-minded, welcoming the very challenges that fuel my practice and embracing what life offers—knowing that each experience deepens the realism and intensity of the work I create.
